Staff Development

Our Staff Development Workshop days are designed to help break down silos and build up trust among staff members. These four to six hour workshops help ask the questions… “How can we create a school no one will want to leave?” Our team believes the more time we work on building the relationships on your campus, the higher the engagement will be.

Half and Full Day Descriptions

6 Hour Staff Development Day:

  1. Session One: Trust happens when people know one another’s story and have history. In this community building session, the presenter will guide staff through activities allowing them to become more comfortable with their colleagues. Comfort leads to meaningful conversation which leads to a better school culture.
  2. Session Two: The presenter guides staff through activities leading to conversation about what needs to happen to create a better place at school for people to learn and grow.  This allows staff to recognize areas of opportunity and to understand the strengths of other staff members they work with.
  3. Session Three:  Collaboration between students and teachers enhances great school culture. The presenter will share strategies to create collaborative efforts in the classroom between students and teacher as well as between students and other students.

“I want to thank you for presenting and creating a fun and interactive professional development day for the Eureka Union School District. Our staff left the room feeling energized for the start of the school year, while they were also appreciative to walk away with a variety of teaching strategies that you modeled. The reflective activities generated a deeper understanding of the impact that we, as educators, have on our students and the contribution that we offer to a school’s culture.” – Tom Janis, Superintendent, Eureka Union School District
