Bringing together 200+ students who are preparing to take a new role as ASB President, Vice President, Junior and Senior Class Presidents, this conference is a powerful opportunity for the key leaders in your student leadership program to receive great training while networking with other outstanding leaders their age.

Set Leaders up for Success:

Since 1989, Phil Boyte has hosted the Student Body President Workshop, presenting the most detailed leadership training for ASB leaders in California. This spring event prepares your new leaders with new skills and tools for the year ahead. Most schools bring a team of six students, including their primary elected leaders and one or two additional students who will play important leadership roles on campus. Participants spend time in general sessions, small group workshops, and networking sessions to build understanding and leadership skills.

Develop an ASB Peer Network: 

Because we have students from so many different schools, attendees have the unique chance to develop their own peer-to-peer leadership network. We create several opportunities during the day for student leaders to network with one another. Our intention is for these students to know each other well enough when the conference is over that they will stay in contact with each other during the coming school year and use each other as resources as they lead their own school.

Event Details

Your student body president, vice president, senior class president, and two or three additional key leaders who will play critical roles in your leadership program. Each school is limited to sending six students. Advisors are also encouraged to attend.

This fast and furious two day workshop will help your students learn the basics of building a strong leadership class. The event will be a mix of large group activities, small group activities, and partner time.

  • Offering Meaningful Feedback
  • Holding Leaders Accountable
  • Recruiting Great Leaders

The event will take place at the San Ramon Marriott in San Ramon, California.

This conference will begin at 1:00 pm on the first day and will end at 12:30 pm on the second day.

Your registration fee includes: shared lodging for one night, all materials and breakfast on the second day. You may reserve your space now and send the names of the students after your elections. Students will be sharing a bed with another student unless they want to pay $35 extra for their own bed.


Students: $160 until April 1st/ $170 until May 1st / $180 through event date

Advisors: $180 – single room / $150 for shared room
